Carved Back Chair
American Ash lends itself to both structure and beauty. Carved and then bleached, the through-carving in the back allows you to peak through to the complimentary fabric.
The low and wide profile of this chair allows you to kick back and snuggle up with a good book on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or relax with coffee on a Saturday morning. Coopered back panels give the backrest a subtle and comfortable curve. The work of the hand can be seen throughout the piece, from hand-planed curves along the crest rail and side rails, to the hand carved floral design on the back panel.

Reclaimed Wood Pallet Chair
Inspired by the Le Corbusier Grand Confort LC2 chair, this reading / sitting chair is made from American Oak that was once used as shipping pallets. I have always treasured pallets because of their nature - alone, they cannot hold anything, but together, they can support items much heavier than themselves. The true character of the wood shines through, revealing it’s nail holes, travel marks, and blemishes.
The low seat and high arms allows you to sit like a Queen or cuddle up completely inside the chair. Hand carved chamfers add subtle relief.

The Arched Back Chair

Combining comfort and class, the arched-back chair is one that’s easy to sit in from appetizers to deserts.
The gentle curve of the back legs and book-matched back panels give your back the support it needs to sit for hours relaxing, laughing, and telling stories. Because lumber is locally sourced, I select flitch-sawn wood (wood that is cut sequentially like pieces of bread). Each back pair is carefully laid out so one piece opens up like a book to give a nearly-identical mirror surface to its complimentary panel.
Each chair can be customized to height and depth. Fabric is completely customizable and is expertly upholstered by SG Woodworks of Richmond, VA.

The Bridge Bar Stool

Combining modern style with classic comfort, these bar stools make it easy to gather with friends and family for hours over dinner, drinks, and dessert.
Metal accents on the legs were designed to pair with the concrete and steel bar. This aesthetic detail is an additional way to customize these bar stools, but they are not required for mechanical purposes and can be ordered in solid wood.
The gentle swoop of the back crest-rail is hand carved and provides the perfect support. Because lumber is locally sourced, I select wood from the same tree to give each stool harmony and cohesion.
Each chair can be customized to height and depth. Metal sides are customizable and is expertly crafted by Bruin Design of Richmond, VA.
